Our first Garden to Table was yesterday. We have three different groups: one group Kauri, was in the garden, Rimu was in the kitchen and my group Kowhai, was doing media and crafts. In media and crafts we are making pot holders so we can hang them around our school. To make the pot holders we needed shirt fabric and we had to cut the shirt and stretch it out. After that we put eight stretched pieces together with one big knot, then made four smaller knots and that is all we have done so far with our pot holders.In the garden group  they were weeding our gardens and building  adding compost bins. The kitchen group made some amazing potato wedges and the potatoes were from our gardens. We harvested them last week. Here are some photos of our potato wedges. Sorry you can’t taste them!
